Coupons and Discounts

Create discount or coupon codes to incentivize things like early registration, sibling discounts, promotions, etc. What is the difference between discounts and coupons? 

Discounts:

• Discounts are created in dollar amounts
• Appear during the registration process; participants can select them
• You can only have them display between certain dates if you want
• You can choose to apply them automatically

Coupons:

• Coupons can be created in dollar or percentage off amounts
• Do not appear during the registration process
• Participants must have the exact code and they can enter it on the checkout page
• We have a "blanket" coupon that can apply to any session called a "Future Credit". The Future Credits tab is in the Financials section and is typically used for things like scholarships, refunds from past events, etc.
